What Are the Different Variations of RACI Matrices?

A RACI Matrix is a responsibility assignment matrix outlining the role of everyone involved in a project. RACI (in its most common usage) stands for Responsible, Accountable, Consulted, Informed.

There are several variations of RACI matrices, most of them expanding on the concept of RACI:

  • RACI-VS: (aka VARISC) Standard RACI + Verifier and Signatory
  • RASIC: Standard RACI + Supportive
  • CAIRO: Standard RACI + Omitted

Note that the above list is not comprehensive. There are other variations as well, but they’re not as prominent.
