The CAPM Eligibility requirements are one of the easiest among PMI Credentials and Project Management Certifications in general.
Contrary to both the PMP Requirements and the PgMP Requirements, they’re the same regardless of the applicant’s level of education.
In order to meet the CAPM Eligibility Criteria, applicants must have achieved one of the following:
- Secondary education or greater as well as 1,500 hours of professional experience on a Project Team OR
- Secondary education or greater as well as 23 contact hours of formal Project Management education
The CAPM should be sought by those who aspire to become Project Managers, but do not have yet the necessary experience.
